IPANEMA!

I won 10 pairs of Ipanema flip flops from ARC Public Relations.

And this is my pick-me-upper this rainy season.

Thank you! I can't wait to try them all.

BEFORE EVER AFTER

Immortality. What If's. LOVE. Tragedy. Beginnings. Happy Endings. FOREVER.

Before reading the book I thought all along that it is a novel about things a person should learn BEFORE getting married or a novel that starts with Before Ever After and ends with And They Live Happily Ever After, but I was wrong. Its a fairy tale that you wish would have or would have not happened to you. Its a story that talks about travel, history, immortality, and never ending love.

By reading this book it made  me think how wonderful and mysterious Europe was and that even in a story I imagined myself as Shelley and that my husband is Max, and how we wandered around Europe and uncovered the mysteries lying beneath it and how we made our own fairy tale. After reading and after I closed the book, I was HEARTBROKEN. I could not believe that because of love and longing a person would take her own life just to be with him. An example of a modern Romeo and Juliet.

This story made me realized that LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. And it taught me well to cherish every moment that I have with the one I love. It taught me how to love chickens and eggs and enjoy every breakfast with my husband.

Reading this book made me love my husband more. Although we can't be like Max who's an immortal, we can be like his character that has a love for Shelley that lasts a lifetime.

Read the book and fall in love with its characters, Europe and eggs.

I am so proud of him. He is humble, talented and he sings like no other. I love Jessica but Phillip won my heart.  Definitely, MY IDOL.

She is Getting Married!

My sister is getting married on October. Finally, she will be settling down and fulfill her dream of being a wife. As her little sister, I am excited and I am looking for that day on seeing her walk down the aisle and say "I do" to the man of her dreams. I am happy for you sis!

Once Upon A Time I Was A Bride

Yes, once upon a time I walked down the aisle...

My ZALORA Wishlist

Twenty days from now I will turn 25. There wouldn't be a big celebration nor a party in my honor. I will probably just have dinner with my husband and my family before I go to work. Yes you read that right, I am going to have my shift and take care of the babies in the nursery of the hospital where I am currently employed. I will be celebrating my birthday with the newly-born babies, how cool is that? I did not ask anything from my husband but hopefully he will surprise me as this will be my first birthday as a wife after getting married last year.

I work in the provincial hospital of the Sultan Kudarat Province. Just for reference, it's about an hour and a half away from General Santos City. In the municipality where the hospital is erected, we only have one mall (not even a mall but a department store with a grocery store). We have to go to Koronadal City or General Santos City if we wanted to have some decent shopping and find some fashionable brands to say the least. And yes, shopping rarely happens because of my schedule at work. I think the last time that I went shopping was when I was in Manila a couple of months back. Sometimes I order online but it takes about 2 days or more before I receive my orders. Imagine the hassle?

I read about Zalora through Nuffnang. I was not able to browse the site though because my computer died on me and I just borrowed my mom's computer so I can write something about it. What do you know? This contest is so irresistible and that I really wanted to try Zalora's service. After borrowing my mom's laptop, I immediately created my Zalora account and I was pleasantly surprised that I was given an introductory gift of Php250 voucher after I signed up. This is a sign of more good things to come I suppose. After all, there are still free things in the world and this voucher is one of them. I could not wait to use it and I am just waiting for my salary that has been delayed for a couple of months already before I do some shopping right in front of this computer. Woohooo! No more travelling for 2 hours to get to a decent mall. Before browsing through the scores of wonderful products inside the Zalora virtual shopping store, I checked what more are in store for us consumers and I can only be happy with the results of my search. Wanna know what I found out? Here are some teasers: (go get yourself an account to know more)

1. 30 Days return policy
2. Free nationwide shipping - this is my favorite because I live so far from Manila!
3. Same day delivery
4. Cash on Delivery is offered too
5. Ever reliable customer support (telephone, chat, email - name it!)

If that isn't enough, I don't know what will convince you the create an account and get your retail therapy started. Apart from the items I plan to buy I also created a wishlist so I can join the contest currently ongoing until May 23 as a partnership between Nuffnang and Zalora. I chose the items carefully and it was too hard to stick to just 5 items. There were just too many choices available. I wish I could have everything. Knowing that Zalora will be in the market for a very long time, I managed to convince myself to just settle on having just 5 items in my wishlist. Take a peek and let me know what you think:

So, what do you think? Did I choose well enough? I would really love to have these items for my birthday. These would really make me happy to say the least. Fashion for me has been reduced to wearing my nurse uniform (scrubs and all) and maybe it's time for me to dress up on occasion. And yes of course, I did not forget to include something for my husband. I am sure he will be happy when he reads this. Gotta score some brownie points so he will not get tired of picking me up after my shift.

This outfit is a far-cry from the usual scrubs and white shoes that I wear when I go to work. I can probably wear this  Freeway Short Dress with this cute Arts Brasil Wedge Sandals and a cardigan to church or to the many "binyag" that I am invited to attend. Aren't they cute together?

This one is for my hubby to see. :-) This Baby Doll from Hot Pink is a sure way to keep the love burning...

This ensemble that is in the color scheme of our wedding is something I want to wear on a date night. I would wear a watch as an accessory and this Esprit Donna Black will be a perfect fit.

Because of my husband's work in the carwash, he rarely dresses up and I want him to feel good about himself as well so I decided to include this dressy jacket (Merger Black Double B Short) so he can up the ante in his wardrobe.

Zestful Avenue and Lots of Online Retail Advantage

NOTE: This is my entry to the Nuffnang and Zalora contest. One winner was announced already so I still have 1 out of the 4 spots left. All the items in the wishlist and a whooping Php5000 credit courtesy of Zalora will still be up for grabs. Like Zalora's Facebook Page and follow them on Twitter for updates.

I really hope Nuffnang and Zalora will pick my entry so that I can have a happy birthday!!! This will for sure be the cherry on top... Oh Zalora Fairy Godmother, please grant my wish!!!
